The challenge with using bamboo for ski poles is to find the right poles in terms of diameter and straightness.

At Bambousse, we overcame this challenge by adopting the technology of multi-layered engineered bamboo: we split large size bamboo poles in strips, flatten the strips and make a glued laminate of 5 layered bamboo strips, which is then cut to a standard straight pole.

Our poles retain the performance characteristics of regular bamboo poles.
